Paul Pogba has finally made his long awaited
return to Manchester United this summer, and the Frenchman has certainly come a long way since 2012.
Having arrived on a free transfer four years ago, Pogba joined
Juventus as a raw teenager that still needed to develop his all-round game.

The early signs of his quality were there as he played his part in helping United win the FA Youth Cup in 2011, and he was subsequently considered one of the club's brightest young talents.
Issues with Sir Alex Ferguson and a lack of playing time ensured that a move elsewhere was the best decision for all concerned, and it turned out to be the right one for dynamic midfielder.
After initially being carefully managed by Antonio Conte in his first two years with the Bianconeri, Massimiliano Allegri continued the process and helped him emerge as one of the top midfielders in Europe.
Pogba also had the benefit of working alongside the likes of Andrea Pirlo, Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal in training week in and week out, and that would only have helped him both on and off the pitch to mature into the player he is today.

Further, last summer was a significant turning point for the 23-year-old, as he was handed the iconic No.10 jersey by the Bianconeri, as he attempted to follow in the footsteps of club greats before him.
With no Pirlo and Vidal to guide him and set the tone and example, the French international was asked to take on additional responsibility, continue to provide his quality and grow into a leader of the team.
Albeit after a rocky start, he undoubtedly delivered as he ended the campaign with 10 goals and 16 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions, helping Juve to back-to-back domestic doubles.
In turn, the Pogba that left Old Trafford in 2012 is now something of the past. The French ace is an entirely different player at this point, and while many will raise eyebrows at the transfer fee being touted, he still has plenty of room for improvement with the best years of his career still ahead of him.

As shown at
Euro 2016, not only will he have to manage expectations better, but he'll also have to be deployed in the right role and that will be up to Jose Mourinho to decide.
While he'll some familiar faces now that he's landed back in Manchester, Pogba is a very different player since leaving the Premier League giants four years ago.
