British MotoGP 2015

August 30 has been a mixed day for Italian sports. For those who follow the Nerazzurri, it might only bring memories of frustration, but more recently, it has seen two stunning demonstrations of superiority against the rest of the world both in a boat and on a bike. 2008Inter begin their campaign with a disappointing 1-1 draw with Sampdoria. Although Zlatan Ibrahimovic gets the Nerazzurri’s season off to a flyer, they are pegged back by Gennaro Delvecchio as the first day of Serie A competition ends in frustration. 2010 – A familiar story for Inter as a new season under a new coach ends in a familiar failure. This time around, Rafael Benitez’s side, spearheaded by Samuel Eto’o, are unable to break down a stubborn Bologna side in a game that ends 0-0 and with the Spanish tactician calling for reinforcements. Rafael Benitez Inter 2013 – An imperious display from the Men’s Pair earns the gold medal at the World Rowing Championships in Chungju, Korea. The duo of Luca Parlato and Vincenzo Abbagnale, along with cox Enrico D’Aniello lead from the off, eventually finishing over three seconds ahead of their nearest challengers Germany. 2015 – An all-Italian podium at the British Moto GP at Silverstone. Despite starting fourth on the grid, Valentino Rossi crossed the line first, while behind him, Danilo Petrucci improved from 18th at the start to claim second spot. Andrea Dovizioso completed the trio, finishing in third.
