![FC Internazionale Unveils New Coach Frank De Boer]()
With just under two weeks to go until the new
Serie A campaign gets underway,
Inter boss Frank de Boer has plenty of work to do with his new team.
The Dutchman was confirmed as the new Nerazzurri boss this week as he replaces Roberto Mancini with just 12 days remaining before the first competitive game of the season.
In turn, he'll want to waste as little time as possible in not only familiarising himself with his new surroundings and squad, but also getting them to buy into his ideas and playing the way that he wants them to as he stamps his identity on the group.

Last season, the Dutch tactician fielded a 4-2-3-1 system on 17 occasions, in 13 other games he opted for a 4-1-4-1 and a 3-4-3 was also used in four different instances.
That is a small insight into how the legendary defender likes tactical flexibility in his sides, and that is a hallmark of his success that he is likely to bring with him to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
His predecessor, Roberto Mancini, enjoyed early success with a two-man midfield in deeper positions at the start of last season, but Inter gradually lost their way and saw that system become less effective.

However, de Boer could well stick with that midfield dynamic, as it ultimately allows him to give Ever Banega the freedom in a more advanced position to showcase his creative abilities without the hindrance of being concerned by what is happening behind him.
In turn, the likes of Ivan Perisic and Antonio Candreva will benefit from his playmaking ability as the pair provide width creativity on the flanks which will then benefit Mauro Icardi, provided he stays at the club, as he will be provided with the quality in the final third to make his impact.
With the transfer deadline not until the end of the month, there is still time for de Boer to make changes to his squad, as he looks to bring in individuals that will be better suited to the roles that he has planned.

While Marcelo Brozovic and Geoffrey Kondogbia are seemingly the first choice for his midfield to sit in front of the defence, it remains to be seen whether or not they're the long-term options that the 46-year-old will use.
De Boer places a great emphasis on having athleticism, strong technical ability and tactical astuteness within his group, while he needs a solid spine to his squad in order to allow him to be creative further afield.
With Samir Handanovic, Miranda and Jeison Murillo in defence, it appears as though he has that backbone that he will be seeking, but time will tell whether or not play will flow as smoothly through the team as detailed above, as he will certainly be keen on adding new faces sooner rather than later.
